According to the new U.S. News & World Report college rankings, Bowdoin College has moved up to tie for the 6th spot in the liberal arts rankings. Tied for first on the podium are Amherst and Williams, followed by Swarthmore, Wellesley, Middlebury, and a tie between Bowdoin and Pomona for sixth. Bowdoin had fluctuated around 7th in recent years, but was ranked #6 back in 2005. Harvard is No.1 again for universities, while Princeton slipped to No.2 after ranking first 8 years in a row. The latest edition of U.S. News & World Report college rankings will be released on the newsstands on Monday, but the report was posted Friday on the magazine’s Web site.
