So Heidi Montag’s “official” video for her single “Overdosin’” (mp3 here) appeared on YouTube today and the general consensus is that it mirrors the great Olivia Newton-John in 1981’s “Physical”. That much is true. The shots do give the hazy 80’s look and the men in the video are just plain goofy. Spencer and Heidi definitely wanted to copy the shots seen in “Physical”. However, true music video gurus would also quickly recognize the similarities to Eric Prydz’s “Call On Me”.
If you are unaware, the video for “Call On Me” was a huge success 2004, selling very well as part of the single release in the United Kingdom. Australian – just like Olivia – hottie Deanne Berry starred as the head aerobics instructor. I choose the women from the land down under.
