Daniel Radcliffe’s Virginity-Cougar Spell

Good for Daniel Radcliffe. It turns out that when he was just 16-years-old, he lost his virginity to Amy Byrne, a hairdresser on the set of Goblet of Fire. She was seven years his senior at the time. The glorious Us Magazine reports the find in its latest issue:

In October’s Details, Daniel Radcliffe confesses that he lost his virginity at age 16 (Britain’s age of consent) — and that the woman was older.

The age difference “wasn’t ridiculous,” the actor, now, 19, says. “But it would freak some people out.”

(Though Radcliffe doesn’t name-drop, a source says in the new issue of Us Weekly the ex is Amy Byrne, an assistant hairdresser who was 23 when they met on the set of 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. His rep had no comment.)

Apparently she cast a spell on the young star, at least according to an old article printed in the Daily Mail:

Over the past year, the 16-year old actor has grown close to a trainee hairdresser seven years his senior.

She is Irish-born Amy Byrne, a 23-year-old brunette. The couple met in the summer of 2004 during filming of the fourth movie in the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Since then they have regularly visited each other’s homes and been on dates together.

Miss Byrne rents a room in a small semi-detached house in Watford, close to Hertfordshire’s Leavesden Studios where much of the latest Potter film was shot.

It would seem strange for Radcliffe, who lives with his parents in Fulham, to make an hour’s journey just to get his hair and make-up done there.

But this, according to her landlord Douglas Jackson, is precisely the excuse she has given for the young star’s regular visits. Mr Jackson said: “Daniel has called round on a number of occasions. Amy says it is so she can help him get dressed.

Yes, odds are she did help him get dressed – after he undressed the both of them!
