Ichabod…Ichabod Crane. The protagonist in Disney’s 1949 The Legend of Sleepy Hollow sure loves to eat. He not only uses his pupils to gain access to food, but also gorges himself at the wealthy Van Tassel’s party. In fact, food is the reason why Ichabod is so drawn to women. He gains food from mothers, the choir, and of course, the dear Katrina. Either Ichabod’s metabolism is very high or he has some sort of eating disorder. Washington Irving’s character surely did not eat to these extremes:

Katrina never said a word during the 34-minute feature. She didn’t have to – she knew the score.
