I’ve been sitting on this one for a while, thinking it will cease to entertain me, but it still hasn’t gotten old. “Walking on a Dream” sounds like a mix of French house and Australian pop. I guess it’s so good thanks to the lack of angst. Empire Of The Sun’s 2nd single, “We Are The People”, isn’t bad either. I think it is reminiscient of a slightly more electronic MGMT with an Australian accent. Others say love this if you like The Presets, Michael Jackson, Sam Sparro & Pnau. The downside: I believe the album/tracks are only available from iTunes Australia and UK
Yes, the duo is named after the 1984 novel which later became a Steven Spielberg-directed film in 1987.
The music video features Steele and Littlemore on location in Shanghai, wearing oriental costumes and makeup. The video was filmed on an Oakley Red camera (weighing only 10lbs) providing stunning colors and resolution. Check it out in all its HD glory:
